ADQUIO ANALYTICS · USE CASES

In a data centre, electricity powers both the servers’ work and the conditions that keep them operating.

This article presents a use case with simulated data. The main image is a generated illustration; the screenshots show the Adquio Analytics interface.

The scenario: Solar Data Centre

The scenario contains eight racks, 60 servers and 16 switches across 350 m². An 80 kVA UPS, cooling and a solar installation with storage complete the technical system.

Dashboards distinguish IT demand from its supporting services. Cooling, the UPS and PUE should be read together over the same reference period.

Questions this example helps answer

Visualisations become useful when they support a specific decision. This example helps explore the following questions:

How does demand change with server load?

How much relates to cooling and auxiliary services?

How do PUE and the model’s continuity-related variables develop?

Technical reference for the example

These values define the reference scenario. They are simulation parameters, not a specification for a verified customer installation.

IT load and communications

Explore CPU, memory, powered-on servers and network traffic alongside energy demand.

How to read it. These views illustrate the model and are not a test of real infrastructure capacity or uptime.

PUE, cooling and UPS

Read PUE, rack inlet and outlet temperatures and UPS loading together.

How to read it. Keep the measurement boundary and time period consistent. The configured PUE target is not a certification.

From example to your installation

The same approach can be adapted to the variables and equipment available in your project. Start with the decision to support, then choose the appropriate measurements, units, periods and visualisations.

DataSource collects and prepares the data, and Adquio Analytics presents it in dashboards. Review measurement coverage and keep the same boundary when comparing days, areas or equipment.

The screenshots illustrate analytical possibilities. They do not verify savings, operational results or automatic control of equipment in this example.
