ADQUIO ANALYTICS · USE CASES

A supermarket continues to use energy after its doors close. Refrigeration, opening hours and customer activity need to be interpreted together.

This article presents a use case with simulated data. The main image is a generated illustration; the screenshots show the Adquio Analytics interface.

The scenario: Solar Supermarket

The scenario represents a 1,200 m² store with 24 employees, eight checkouts and a customer capacity of 180. Refrigerated displays, cold rooms, freezers and ovens share the installation with solar generation and storage.

Analytics compares opening hours with demand and provides a separate view of the cold chain, helping distinguish necessary consumption from a deviation that deserves investigation.

Questions this example helps answer

Visualisations become useful when they support a specific decision. This example helps explore the following questions:

Which loads remain overnight?

How are customer activity and electricity demand related?

How do cold rooms and freezers compare with their reference temperatures?

Technical reference for the example

These values define the reference scenario. They are simulation parameters, not a specification for a verified customer installation.

Energy overview

Compare generation, demand and grid supply across the simulated trading day.

How to read it. Separate continuous technical demand from the load associated with opening hours.

Trading activity

Review customers present, open checkouts, customer arrival rates and energy demand.

How to read it. Compare equivalent trading periods before attributing higher consumption to reduced efficiency.

Cold chain

Compare cold-room, freezer and display temperatures, door activity and commercial refrigeration demand.

How to read it. Trends help identify questions for review, but do not replace food safety procedures or certified measurements.

From example to your installation

The same approach can be adapted to the variables and equipment available in your project. Start with the decision to support, then choose the appropriate measurements, units, periods and visualisations.

DataSource collects and prepares the data, and Adquio Analytics presents it in dashboards. Review measurement coverage and keep the same boundary when comparing days, areas or equipment.

The screenshots illustrate analytical possibilities. They do not verify savings, operational results or automatic control of equipment in this example.
